Ashtash T @Ashtash Dec 30 The writing for this friend and family group is disrespectful and down right hateful. The attitude towards the only white girl is that she is "lesser than". They all act like they dislike and distrust each other from the opening and that just deepens as we go. The men downgrade each other and dry to de-masculate each other. I wonder why are these people are in each others lives at all? Plotwise, Im confused through most of it. Decent acting is its only saving grace. If it ruined movies when they did it to people of color, it’s still going to ruin movies today. It was almost good but too cheesy and the racism and "sis we gotta stick together" was cringe. Some of the character reactions (or lack thereof) to the deaths of other characters was unrealistic. And no one even mentioned calling 911 either? Bad acting and wasn't scary or really suspenseful at all. For what was going on, the actions of the characters were unrealistic. There's no way in a situation like that would people stay sitting around just to get picked off one by one and die. I’ve probably watched more movies, series, binge watching, etc and Tv shows than any one can ever imagine or come close to. I suppose the director thought shooting the film and what was supposed to be suspenseful music made the movie artsy…. But not in my eyes. I watched till the end because I wanted to see who the diabolical culprit was…(I had already figured it out), I’ve done the same with books that I’m not that into….
