Cowboy Tex Wyatt (Dave "Tex" O'Brien) is riding in a wagon train when a group of bandits attacks the travelers. But Tex is able to stave off robbery and makes it into a nearby town, only to be mistaken for a notorious outlaw by ranger Jim Steele (Jim Newill), who is among the many thinking the crook has returned to claim a huge sum of buried money. Jailed, Tex must find a way out, especially since the real outlaw is on his way, and the locals will need another good gunslinger on their side.
