Jun 23, 2008 Full Review Quentin Crisp Christopher Street A movie must be described as good not necessarily because it gives you what you hoped to see but if it delivers what it promises. Outrageous Fortune does this and by this standard can hardly be criticized. StephenPaul C LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 35 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/11/23 Full Review Michael S Brilliant, classic comedy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 35 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review jon c How outrageous is it that you're fortunate or unfortunate to find out your boyfriend is seeing another woman while also stumbling upon riches? Arthur Hiller directs Bette Midler and Shelley Long in an early female action comedy Two women in the same acting class are rivals, worse is they find out their boyfriend Michael is seeing both of them He then dies in an accident or so it seems, so both women are determined to find him but the answers about who he is turns out to be more troublesome involving spies and such It's a race against time as both ladies outrun shady people involved with Michael It's very exciting and very funny seeing the lengths these two are willing to go Funny and entertaining all the same with two women bouncing off one another, they face many dangers but still work together Loads of fun to watch I gotta say! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I seriously LOVED this movie! I happened to catch it on a weekend movie thing in the 90's. I needed every plausible & implausible moment of just GREAT FUN! It's as ridiculous fun as Weekend at Bernie's, but to me stays more "you can watch it again and it stays funny. Like Money Pit. Better Midler & Shelley Long seem like an unlikely pair & yet together they're dynamite. Plus tossing in George Carlin was priceless! This is fun, adventurous & great for laughs! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review steve d Not remotely entertaining. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
