Tom Milne Time Out Perfect casting for Trintignant as a French hitman imported to America and efficiently executing his contract, only to discover that there appears to be a contract out on him. Apr 16, 2021 Full Review Elston Brooks Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com It is so amateur, so badly paced, so incredibly acted, so ridiculously padded, that The Outside Man" almost becomes memorable - with viewers wondering how anyone could have so ludicrously botched such a hands-down assignment. Apr 16, 2021 Full Review Perry Stewart Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com A pretty fair pursuit melodrama for about 45 of its 104 minutes After that you might try strolling out to the lobby and watching the candy counter girls baste the hot dogs. Apr 16, 2021 Full Review Richard T. Jameson Parallax View The Outside Man is a lifeless movie, bereft even of cult interest. Apr 16, 2021 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The story might be slight, but the acting by Trintignant is just right... Rated: B Aug 27, 2001 Full Review Read all reviews

delysid d great movie that's up there with the 7ups, french connection, etx. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/22 Full Review Audience Member The seriousness/drollness of our leading man is comically juxtaposed with bizarre scenarios and cartoonishly idiotic supporting characters. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad, not great, thriller with a high quality cast and a very 70's look. Decent blend of action and personal drama. Ann-Margret, deeply tanned and strawberry blonde, looks astonishingly beautiful. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member More then expected for this intelligent French-American crime drama. Shot in Los Angeles, a hired French hit man by a Los Angeles mob family finds himself the subject of a hitman himself. A bit off-beat (unconventional) French directed movie, the French seem to invade Los Angeles and start shooting things up near the end of the film with their American gang counterparts at a bizarre funeral. Be sure to wait for deceased, its worth waiting for and a bit amusing as well. Roy Scheider (Jaws) excellent as always, stars with French actor and hired hitman Jean-Louis Trintignant along with a few well established medium grade "stars" of the time such as Ann-Margret, Angie Dickenson. A cat and mouse thriller from back street alleys to mansions. *************************************** CAST Angie Dickinson Roy Scheider Ann Margaret Jean-Louis Trintignant CREW Producer: Jacques Bar Editor: William K. Awesome 70's euro-action flick that up there with Charles Bronson-Sergio Sollima "Violent City". Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member an action packed suspensful film with two sexy women of their generation ann margaret and police woman angie dickinson at their sexy best along with the great roy scheider as a hit man sent in to kill another hit man after the other hitman killed his bosses son and wife and \finds his own boss blackmailed him by sending two contract killers to wipe him out Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
