A group of strangers find themselves aboard an unmanned ship, surrounded by fog and uncertain of their destination. As they attempt to make sense of their situation, the group of passengers, which include a man (Leslie Howard) and his long-lost mother (Beryl Mercer), discover that all they have is common is that each is dead and en route to their final judgment by Thompson (Dudley Digges). However, two desperate lovers, Henry (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.) and Ann (Helen Chandler), may be different.

See more 03/27/2008 The ending of this movie will be stuck with me for a very long time. I loved the things they discussed about life and death, and how they discussed it. Someone said something about their situation being strange and someone else replied, "Why is it so strange? It's not strange when we are born.." I love this stuff. As always, Leslie Howard was amazing. I need a time machine. See more 03/27/2008 A bunch of people who are dead are trapped on a boat.
