Aparita Bhandari Globe and Mail When I walked out of the movie theatre screening Padmaavat, I was shaking in rage. Rated: 2/4 Feb 2, 2018 Full Review Siddhant Adlakha Village Voice With its lavish sets; catchy, narratively-driven songs; and powerhouse performances, Padmaavat is even greater than the sum of its already-commendable parts. Feb 2, 2018 Full Review Lisa Tsering Hollywood Reporter Padmaavat's sumptuous palace interiors and classically inspired music lend elegance to the film without overpowering it - a welcome shift in tone from the director of the lavish but uneven Devdas and Saawariya. Jan 29, 2018 Full Review Pradeep Menon Firstpost Sanjay Leela Bhansali has wowed audiences and disconnected from them in equal measure... Oct 18, 2023 Full Review Swetha Ramakrishnan Firstpost I'm not sure whether to feel bad for or be critical of Bhansali. But here's the thing (hello Karni Sena, I am talking to you): your disappointment and disapproval of a film can coexist with the film itself. Oct 10, 2023 Full Review Saibal Chatterjee NDTV Magnificent but overly manufactured. Rated: 2/5 Jul 27, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Scott B Terrible story - weak character development - good scenery and costumes and music. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Lights-Camera-action 3.75/5✨ It's a true Art of the Artist Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Visually captivating, emotionally rich Cinematic Magnum Opus. The Actor were fit soo wonderfully in their respective characters. Deepika's queen avatar is really awardworthy. Ranveer Singh mastered the khilji role. And yess Sahid Kapoor is also brilliant. Apart from leads , this film has soo many strong supporting characters especially Aditi Rao are brilliant . But the minus points goes to the visual effects (eg. The cartoon Ostrich) & a little bit in the writing. And I think the direction also inferior to Bhansali's previous work Bajirao Mastani. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/29/23 Full Review Advaith R A film with a majestic scale, with good acting by the leads and good cinematography and set designs. A probable slow burn but not disengaging. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/29/22 Full Review Audience Member A movie based on historic events and as expected, great set pieces, music, costumes and performances led by Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member To see Ranveer Singh become the character♥️ Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member It seemed to be a love story but you don't feel much love between the king and queen. It was very long. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
