Tricia K The performances of Samberg and Simmons were strong, but Milioti's was often forced, overacted and contrived, and the camera came off of as trying very hard to love her with many close-ups, but just as her performance, this was similarly forced. The best I could say about the chemistry between the romantic leads is that they make good siblings. The goofy explanations for the time loop, and the eventual remedy, came off as pretentious, vague and unlikely. It seemed as though it stemmed from a mind on a lot of caffeine and adderall, which ultimately rendered this comedy as a flash in the pan in my opinion. But hey, I'm just an anonymous audience member who is agog this flick won any awards whatsoever, because I was only intermittently mildly amused with the comedic capers yet consistently annoyed with all the over-acting, particular from the ensemble who paled in comparison to the leads. This was made pre-pandemic, and only over 21 days, so for that it gained an extra half star.
