Riyas Rasyid A The film shines in its authentic portrayal of the battlefield atmosphere, delivering a realistic and gritty depiction of the wartime struggle. Though the historical accuracy of the story has been debated, the film successfully captures the spirit of heroism and patriotism. The cinematography is well-done, with intense and moving battle scenes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Old Movies BW with Subtitles S Very well made film, cinematography is excellent The characters really want to root for. Although in reality the story is not exactly true but who cares is still a fantastic film. Make sure to watch it in the original Russian language with English subtitles. The English dubbed version is this terrible whoever did the dubbing on it the actors they got just do not match up whatsoever. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly entertaining, It may bit slow pace at the beginning but when the action comes, it's a bang! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Very well done war movie. Focuses on the combat without too much fluff and unnecessary love stories or politics. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The grandiloquence that was expected of it does not go beyond her stylistic plainness, in her formal subordination to the historical moral while her ideology sediments the articulation of a pamphlet-cinema. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member When I was a child I red the book called " the Pamfilov's road " though in aftermath the whole Pamfilov story was just a fabrication by Krasney Zvezda journalist who travelled to the front line i 1941 . In 1948 Jdanov ordered NKVD to review the whole story , which revealled it was debunked as fake like many other Russian and German WWII stories which were just designed to produce propaganda on these desperate days. Few of the 28 survived the war and one who was taken POW by Germans who later served as policeman in Ukraine or Belarus then sentenced for treason in 1949 and executed . Not even Pamvilov died in battle but while drinking his tea and eating Casha at the command post hit by a splinter from a German shell. Neverthless the Pamfilov resistance gave Stavka and General winter to take effect and bought sufficient time for other Army groups to brake out of the German pockets near Moscow regroup and start the decisive offensive .Despite all this all 28 were awarded the golden HSU star. The movie in comparison with other Russian movies of the Putin's era is a pure disaster Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
