Jimmy Colón is an NYPD counter-terrorism agent who has infiltrated one of the major New York mosques in the South Bronx, and is living under the name “Farouq Bin Al-Hamed”. He tries to ensnare the head Iman - Brother Nazim - by convincing the younger and more susceptible congregants to embrace Radical Jihadism - while plotting their arrest during attempted acts of terror. In a twist of fate - Jimmy finds himself developing a relationship with one of the newest congregants - a heroin addict named Alistair Holmgren - who has a dark past and nothing to lose. As their friendship intensifies, Jimmy must decide whether or not to complete the mission at his chief’s behest or lead himself and the mosque into self-destruction.

Jim Schembri jimschembri.com A tough, issue-driven urban tale that thrusts itself into the belly of the beast when confronting raw nerve topics such as Islamophobia, terrorism and violence. That said, the film's ambition and noble messaging can't quite make up for its shortcomings. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 8, 2021 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat Good indie crime dramas are hard to come by. Paradise City is not perfect but stands far out from the pack. Don't miss this one. Rated: 8/10 Dec 5, 2020 Full Review Jonathan W. Hickman The Newnan Times-Herald "Paradise City" is an ambitious, epic crime drama that punches way above its indie label. Rated: 7/10 Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Amazing. Please bring season 2!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member the series is incredible, dynamic, captures the viewer and the performances are great Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It was really good! Absolutely pissed at the ending, it's set up for a second season for sure (only reason I was actually mad). It's weird to watch if you haven't seen the movie (American Satan, which is also weird and the opposite of family friendly). Simon is a really great character and Johnny worked on himself as well which is amazing. The only thing that truly makes me mad outside of the cliffhanger ending, was that they didn't even try and get someone who looked similar to the original Lily Mayeflower (While I know why they couldn't get the same actor, it's still annoying that they didn't get someone a little more suited for the roll, however the woman playing her did do a pretty good job considering). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Was good sad and evil twists hope for a season 2 real soon Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
