Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com What Hannah has given us is essentially a glorified home movie sans the glory. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 23, 2018 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety A waste of time made bearable only by its brevity. Mar 16, 2018 Full Review Monica Castillo Guardian Paradox is choppy and directionless, better seen as an experimental concert film that attempted to do something more ambitious than the average music video. Rated: 2/5 Mar 16, 2018 Full Review Frederick Blichert Vice A weird, messy little movie...its meandering plot is oddly compelling, if unevenly so, propelled by Youngs hypnotic score. Feb 13, 2022 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation It's a mess, son Rated: 1/4 Apr 18, 2018 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Unique mix of dreamy Western and Neil Young concert; cursing Rated: 3/5 Apr 10, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

r96 s Bizarre. Barely a movie. Nothing much to say about 'Paradox', the above says enough. I will note that the music and, particularly, the visuals are actually quite good, the latter is basically what kept me watching - along with the 73 minute run time, which admittedly doesn't drag as much as it ought to. The plot is extremely thin and the acting isn't the best. One to avoid. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Audience Member I loved the sounds and music score. Retro feel, quirky and atmospheric. I guess it appeals more to people of the sixties... So many bad and critical reviews. Somebody forgot to sit back and enjoy it. It's called Paradox for obvious reasons. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Did the acting suck? Sure did! Was there a plot line? Nope. Who cares? Anyone who panned this movie is either A too millennial to know who Neil Young is and what he's known for or B didn't consume enough psychedelic substances to really appreciate it. Anyone who can't find something good to say about listening to Neil Young and Willie Nelson's offsprings music against gorgeous western landscapes and bizarre anachronisms just needs to lighten up and enjoy the ride. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This is more like a student film. The songs are good but the mixing between them isn't great. The beautiful western landscape makes it difficult to not look at least half decent. Considering the amount of unknown talent out their I feel that the money used for this could have been used better elsewhere Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a bad movie alright. Acting is bad, FX are bad and the plot an idea are also bad. Acting is really bad tho. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member If you love Neil Young and/Daryl Hannah you'll love this. I love both and while it isn't the movie you'd (expect without reading the negative reviews) it is a unique cinematic form all of its own and a whimsical tribute to the monumental artistry of Young's music and his mythical place in Canadian/North American history. Sit back and enjoy without trying to understand too much. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
