Lee Atwell Gay Community News (Boston) Technically and thematically this film fulfils some of the goals of all good film-making. But beyond this, it expresses with great poignancy and feeling a positive level of gay consciousness. Sep 21, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Florian H This film is a great example of the era of gay pornographic cinema that blurred the lines between porn and art film. It follows the early stages of the romantic relationship between two men, following one of them posting an ad in a paper. Both men are lonely and seeking companionship, finding this in each other. The sex scenes, rather than being a gratuitous thrill, truly add to the building of the narrative and character building within the film. The scenes prior to their meeting seem almost soulless in comparison to the tenderness of the scenes later on between the protagonists. It is a brilliant portrayal of gay love and loneliness.
