Carla Hay Culture Mix Pastor’s Kid is not a typical faith-based drama because it’s not preachy. The movie has a lot of cursing and drug use. It’s also an absorbing psychological portrait of a troubled college student who’s angry at her pastor mother. Mar 18, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Ruth M I am so glad I saw this movie! The first half was edgy and raw. I really felt Riley's pain and the place she was in spiritually and physically. The last half was beautifully redemptive and loving and in some way I can't explain transforming for me. The entire film is artfully captured with amazing real feel acting that made this a gem of a movie. Well done! There was a far share of foul language and a lot of drug use shown but I feel the writers and directors wanted to truly show the lifestyle of the main character Riley. By doing so it allowed the audience to feel the struggles Riley's went through in her life and how her faith was by her side the whole time, she just needed to be ready to accept it.
