Utterly jaw-dropping. I watched it years ago as a child and even though I had no understanding of gravity or even really what was happening at the time, I was just as enthralled as I was after watching it today. Truly stunning, on par with even the best of Ghibli movies. I could never recommend this movie enough, but as you can see- I took off half a star, that is solely because my brain is still very bad at processing the whole thing and the conclusion leaves me very shaken, which I personally enjoy because it just means there are more things to consider and imagine. even the dub is great!!

Movie ended well, characters had good voice acting, and movie never felt to slow to watch or to fast to fathom

Although the characters can be simplistic and the love story cheesy at worst, the movie concept left me at the end with a dazzling sentiment of upside-down that I couldn't quite shake. (The scenes were they keep toying with the gravity were my favorites)

While it does have some of the expected flaws from the medium, not the least of which including a paper-thin villain, this anime feature does come fully loaded with an engaging sci-fi plot with ideas and twists to anchor the gorgeous compositions.
