Isabel Quigly The Spectator The one pleasant surprise about this lamentably slanted film is the French actress Francoise Prevost, who manages to give the bad girl in a banal situation humanity and warmth, Miss Whitelaw, of course is good however she slants, but that's no surprise. Audience Member Solid early sixties British noir. Quite cleverly written and original in the way the two wives, who seem destined to very minor roles at the outset, turn out to be the strongest characters as the film moves along. Françoise Prévost and Billie Whitelaw deliver stellar performances. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Superb British heist film that has a capable ensemble cast. What strikes me about it is how fresh it feels, due in the main to its excellent pacing. Right up there with the best crime capers of this era and I'll certainly be adding this to my collection. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Tight little British heist film. Very enjoyable if you're a noir or crime film fan.
