Audience Member Phenomenal ! Throughout the entire documentary, you cannot go 5 minute without shaking your head. Our legal system is broken and in my opinion, it cannot be fixed until we have many more men like Dub Lawrence ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review john m What's great about this documentary is how it's not a complete anti-cop thesis and instead explores the realistic and challenging perspectives of both citizens and cops in extreme situations, getting to hear from both sides and providing valid points across the board. The justice system will always be unfair, it's how we can change communities by our individual decisions and understanding of how both sides naturally react when confronted with violence. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review spencer p Fueled by controversy and propelled by fascinating crime scene analysis and even-handed interviews, this makes its timely point very clear while keeping viewers begging for answers. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review troy k Very interesting, needed tighter editing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting, truly eye opening documentary on the policing systems in America and the injustice and controversy it holds. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow!! A remarkable treatment of a timely topic. The bullet path analysis makes CSI look like amateur hour. Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle Its most lasting impression is a haunted, human one: of Lawrence in the long hallways of the airplane hangar he converted, walls plastered with his obsessive work, this one-man CSI unit on a mission to expose the cracks in a foundation he himself laid. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 8, 2015 Full Review Barbara VanDenburgh Arizona Republic The strength of "Peace Officer" is that it doesn't attempt to pit the viewer against the police. Rated: 4/5 Oct 8, 2015 Full Review Peter Keough Boston Globe Surpasses the best episode of the now defunct "CSI" series in its suspense and fascinating procedural detail and rivals the intensity, ingenuity, and broader ramifications of Errol Morris's "The Thin Blue Line." Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 1, 2015 Full Review M. Faust The Public (Buffalo) A few of the revelations here are so disturbing that you realize an entire film of such stuff would be hard to sit through. Oct 11, 2017 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze Or more likely not. An explosive investigative documentary about the deadly militarization of police in this country. And one of its victims - ironically a Utah sheriff who first introduced SWAT teams into his state. An emotionally shattering revelation. Mar 26, 2016 Full Review Michael Jaconelli The Skinny A first-rate look at the increasingly relevant issue of police militarisation. Rated: 4/5 Mar 8, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
