Critics Consensus

Based on a best-selling memoir, Peaceful Warrior loses something in the transition from page to screen. It hits the viewer over the head with philosophical jargon, and ultimately fails to live up to its source material.

Gan R After watching the film, I feel it has a very Buddhist essence! The last three questions are especially profound: **Who am I? What am I? Why am I here?** The process of self-cultivation is not easy. I also have a mentor, like the old man in the movie, guiding me in my practice. Like the protagonist, I have countless questions, but I still want to overcome every challenge I face! [Keep going] Thank you for your sharing, teacher! ❤️ - Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Peter G If you've ever had hopes, dreams, and work ethic to become a pro at ANYTHING yet somehow had a moment where you've felt you lost it, this movie is for you. It may be hard for some to understand but I think this is a universal tale. I'm waiting for the day my kids are old enough to truly understand this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/20/23 Full Review La G This movie calms my mind. And it honestly changed my life. Super recomendo. Roteiro e enredo bons. Vale apena assistir? Com certeza. Nota: 8,5 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Grob R Sad to see so many people not understanding the message. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review H B There are people who watch movies to be entertained and there are people who want to be inspired. This movie inspires and I like to be inspired rather than to be entertained. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
