Adam is a kind-hearted kennel-owner. Hypersensitive and borderline depressed, he hides his existential fears from his affection-avoidant father, and lets his young assistant take advantage of his good nature. To help combat his eco-anxiety, Adam orders a therapeutic solar lamp. Through the lamp's supplier's technical support line, he meets Tina, a radiant woman with a voice that soothes all of his worries. This unexpected encounter changes everything: Earth trembles, and hearts explode... it's love!

Steve Pond TheWrap The phrase peak everything pretty much describes “Peak Everything,” the apocalyptic rom-com we didn’t know we needed. Jun 2, 2025 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg RogerEbert.com A sprightly ode to the emotionally clarifying power of love in times of existential crisis, this is one of the most effusive, lighthearted romantic comedies to screen at Cannes in recent memory. May 26, 2025 Full Review David Ehrlich IndieWire In a movie so concerned with the lack of communication between people, that the movie isn’t particularly capable of communicating anything of its own is a problem. Rated: C+ May 20, 2025 Full Review Nairon Santos de Morais Loud and Clear Reviews Anne Émond [...] creates a life-affirming rom-com for the modern day. Rated: 4/5 Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Matthew Turner Next Best Picture In short, this is something of a mixed bag, but it’s definitely worth seeing on balance, thanks to strong chemistry between the two leads and Émond’s original approach to the more intimate scenes. Rated: 6/10 Jun 4, 2025 Full Review Savina Petkova Hammer to Nail [With such] a well-calibrated cast, between Hivon’s endearing portrayal of eco anxiety (and a tiny bit of egocentrism) and Perabo’s performance of childlike wonder, there is an undeniable softness to this particular apocalyptic narrative.
