jesse o Much like Mummy, I'm a Zombie...do not ask why I watched this. Outside of some surprisingly good animation, per the standards of non-Pixar films, which is why I've given it the 1 star, this is a pretty bad movie. The story, since no description is actually provided here, is basically protected animals go missing from a nature reserve. The film sees the police car, whose name escapes me, and his otter friend trying to discover the mystery as if they don't, the nature reserve will be closed and they will all be fired. There's a few chuckles here and there, but it's clear that this was very much intended for the very young...like very, very young, maybe between the ages of 3-6. It just, for some reason, reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine. Like it's good for your kids, if you want something safe and harmless, but adults aren't really gonna find anything to like. And if they do, it'd probably be something like 'well my kids like it', which is as poor an excuse as you can make for a film. But anyway, this was very kiddie, that's for damn sure. I have no idea if this is a character that's in kid's programming in Norway, cause there is another film out with the same lead characters, that would explain everything. But I digress, the film doesn't really offer anything adults would enjoy, like I would find it hard to believe that anyone over the age of 10 would enjoy this film. And I think 10 is even pushing it. It's not that it's offensively terrible or anything, though I did find the voice actor for the baby eagle to be incredibly annoying and grating, but it's just simply too kiddy for my tastes. There are some "action" sequences and "violent" moments that might make the most conservative and overprotective parents hesitant to let their kids watch this film, but, by and large, the film is pretty harmless for little kids. Toxic for adults, however. If it's between this or watching The Lego Movie for the millionth time, then I would go for the Lego Movie one more time, at least it's fucking great.
