Roger Moore Movie Nation Probably felt corny and dated the moment it hit the screen...But if you're a "completist," trying to sample all the performers who shaped comedy for generations all across the English-speaking world, this one fills in a few more blanks. Audience Member Billed nowadays as Peter Sellers' first film, in which he's good, but it's comedy partner Harry Secombe who is the star, and he's an average lead. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical madcap Goons comedy with solid support from Alfred Marks. A few scenes, especially with Secombe, save this film and at only 70 minutes long it's worth a look for all Goons fans Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member harry secombe and spike milligan, team up for this fun film from the 40s, secombe is harry a footballs pools winner going along with his mate spike played by milligan, going to brighton for a bit of fun and getting involved wh ithe ladies, while a crook is after his money which he foolishly has brought along, ive never seen a harry secombe film before, and saw a lot in his humour here, i just may seek out the goons show now, also starring miligan, proper 40s british humour going on here, and certainly wont be to everyones taste, and nice to see peter sellers giving support with some nice touches also Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
