Once we settle into the twisty stories of the four BFFs who drive writer-director J.C. Falcn's earnest drama, the characters become a fairly absorbing bunch. Go to Full Review

As it traces a year in the messy romantic lives of its three central characters, this film strikes an introspective, warmly engaging tone. Go to Full Review

08/10/2019 Well written, realistic view of the modern gay male experience, featuring the almost always present hetero-female friends. Some "straight" men do not want to understand or take responsibility for the actions, and that is perfectly normal, too. The actors excel in their roles and the film moves along at a good pace. Kudos for a very well made movie. See more 01/05/2019 It definitely had an intriguing plot and the characterization was very good. The characters felt very authentic even though some scenes, like a chance encounter in a bar, were far-fetched. See more 08/14/2017 A compelling story about friendship, some good performances, generally a good movie. See more 04/23/2017 It was a pretty good movie, they're a tight-knit group, all being quirky, funny and witty in their own ways. Most of the movie was about Joe (main guy) trying to make things work with Tom, whom lives in NYC and they've never video-chatted before, then Joe finds out he's being catfished. I assumed the big plot was going to be about Delia (the female best friend) being pregnant, the father being Joe (who is apparently very much gay) but that was the case for only the beginning. After Delia solves her situation (not really) with her husband (soon to be ex) and Joe becomes okay with being a dad the story just kind of flops. The third person in the trio, Herbert, actually gets some type of story, where he's trying to find the one whilst trying to work his way up in his career. I found Herbert's story far more interesting than Delia and Joe's. Anyways, fast forward to the end, the baby is born and apparently Joe turned straight turned gay only to turn straight again as he chooses to be in a relationship with Delia. I think the directors and producers need to reevaluate what's an LGBTQ+ movie. Or at least say that Joe is bisexual before giving him the title of a "gay man". I would recommend the movie except the ending, pretty disappointing. See more 04/12/2017 Between a 6/10 and 7/10, with its predictable plot that holds no surprises at all, and which follows through with its very obvious intention in ensuring that there is a 'happy ever after' ending for all the characters involved. With an entertaining script (that could have been tightened in the second half) and it's very likable and talented cast, this crowd-pleaser movie will appeal to most hopeless romantics. And especially anyone who has ever been catfished. See more 04/08/2017 Credit where credit's due, this isn't a bad /queer/ movie. It's just a bad movie. See more Read all reviews
