Cons: If you think this is gonna be on the level of Narnia or Harry Potter, it's not, sorry. Think Spy Kids or Disney channel instead. Pros: Better than the first movie and the Disney+ series. Some of the monsters and creatures look really cool like the cyclops and water horse. Great movie for kids honestly.

I enjoyed this more than the first one but still nowhere near as good as the series or the books. The characters are still one-dimensional and too much detail is lost. At least they seem to have tried to improve the writing and try to fix some of the omissions from the first film. Or so I thought until I got to the final act which ruined what they tried to do in the first hour, it felt like such a massive departure and so shallow. The ending was straight up copied from Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Don’t waste your time with these two films, they end on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Still, it’s slightly better than the first film and mostly watchable. Tyson was fun.
