May 24, 2019 Full Review April Wolfe TheWrap There's a lack of control and specificity in their themes and how they play out, so it's never quite clear why the filmmakers are telling this story and what they're trying to get across. The resulting film is creative and visually-appealing, though plot is low in the mix. Zy S This movie was pretty bad. I didn't understand what the theme was trying to convey, I didn't understand the storyline, I didn't understand what the movie was trying to develop in the characters. I don't want to disrespect the director here but it honestly seemed like the main intent of this movie was to give a surreal LCD trip to the audience mixed in with some erotic bisexual arousing experience. Which I wouldn't have been in opposition to, but the cast wasn't really my type for this type of experience, the cast was too thin. The surreal LCD component wasn't featured enough to amplify the erotic nature, there just wasn't enough bright coloring to mesmerize the brain. Again, I can't read the mind of the director but that's what I feel the movie was trying to achieve. It's hard to make movies like this because you really need a very attractive cast that can compete with modern social media, which is incredibly difficult, even for directors with huge funding. But I do think more movies like this need to be made. I couldn't find the rating for this movie but regardless, these movies should aim to be rated R, and I do feel like this movie was trying to fit into the PG-13 zone, which significantly contradicts the film's goals. I do think it would be nice if more films were made with what this movie was trying to do, it would take a special type of director to really achieve this movie's vision. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/25 Full Review Audience Member A surreal take on the existence of human consciousness that most won't get. Dropping a bit of esoteric knowledge underneath a heavy blanket of artsy fartsy nonsense that paints a weird picture. I don't pretend to understand all of it but it's pretty enough to entice me back to subsequent viewings. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member whether intentional or not it hits the mark. The experience that the viewer has may end up going over their heads. There is a line that one of the main character's fixation(s) says that's something like "I'm too far ahead of you" as he expresses confusion. This film's subject matter is kind of like that. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member !!!!!!!! PURE GENIUS. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member If you go into this film expecting an average movie you are going to be confused, disoriented and possibly even bored, but if you view it through the lens of art, of a cinematic experience... you may, like I did, enjoy it immensely. It's a visually stunning piece. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Worse than made-for-TV religious propaganda. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
