Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald [A] histrionic and slightly shambolic comedy of manners and morals. Rated: 2/5 Feb 3, 2017 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian The acting is first-rate, as is the script. The melodramatic music is less so. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 27, 2017 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald It might have been nastier in the hands of a less experienced director but Genovese handles it with delicacy. They might all be liars, but who's going to throw the first stone? Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 20, 2017 Full Review William Venegas La Nación (Costa Rica) Perfect Strangers is a fiasco. [Full review in Spanish] Aug 8, 2018 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine A tragicomedy full of truly hilarious moments, a well-acted film that manages to develop an interesting premise very intelligently during at least the first sixty minutes of footage. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/4 Aug 22, 2017 Full Review Hannah Brown Jerusalem Post The actors are relaxed and self assured, and there are some classic farce situations that morph into something more dramatic. Vladan A The movie is quite enjoyable to watch but I didn't really like the ending. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Homer S I LOVE this Sitcom! Along with "Cheers" this show is what made growing up in the 80s so enjoyable. As cheesy as it is, ESPECIALLY by Today's standards. I have and ALWAYS WILL cherish this Sitcom. Long live Cousin Larry and Balki! 🙌 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/23 Full Review Fra B Those who the movie presents as everyday italian citizens are at best unrealistic characters with unbelievable customs, or badly played figures with ridiculous jobs, or worse just pure assholes. The plot on the other hand is just a premise that wouldn't go anywhere with normal characters and the conclusion is... unpredictable, to be generous. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/04/21 Full Review Audience Member Delightful, fast fresh and smart Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This comedy drama starts with the intriguing premise of seven upper middle class friends at a dinner who decide to put every phone call on speakers, and read out loud all the messages and emails they get during the evening... "How many couples would break up if they examined their partners' phones?" asks one of the heroines of this unusual evening, the same one who, after an unexpected discovery, would spit in her friend's face. The true face of some of the friends gets exposed during the twist in the last 10 minutes, which added to a good impression. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Masterfully acted, this powerful Italian drama shows how a movie set in one room in a two hours span can still be captivating, absorbing and full of clever plot twists.
