Audience Member Ti Lung stars as a swordsman who abandons his job of assassinating a corrupt prince after discovering that's he's being set-up and a bounty has been put on his head. The fight sequences in the film are merely average, which is still head-and-shoulders above most American martial arts films, but is kind of disappointing because the rest of the film is quite impressive. There is some gorgeous photography, with some very colorful and moody sets, and a better than average storyline. I also always find it funny to watch Ti Lung in these roles because I first became aware of him in more contemporary of action films like "A Better Tomorrow," but apparently he was originally known for his marital arts roles. Overall, this is a solid martial arts film that features some decent wirework and excellent production values. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
