Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 13, 2001 Full Review Steve Warren Southern Voice (Atlanta) Pet Semetary Two is aimed at an audience too young to see it without accompanying adults. They may dig it, but I nearly died of boredom. May 9, 2023 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Stephen King, who usually doesn't mind his name attached to any form of cinematic garbage, had it successfully removed from the credits of this picture, which should alert any potential viewer to tread carefully. Rated: 1/4 Jan 29, 2020 Full Review Shaun Munro Flickering Myth Better-acted than the original and not without its perverse charms - mostly of the Clancy Brown variety - but a shameless cash-in sequel for the most part. Blu B What the F%&#....The pacing is just wow....beyond horrendously bizarre. This just throws nonsense at you slowly and gets faster and never stops as thr runtime goes. The music isn't good at all. It's 90's Grunge type rock with generic music scores that are never creepy or fit the mood of this at all. It feels so dated. The acting isn't good at all and everything else is terrible. There is so many just stupid, bizarre, plot convient moments. People just appear out of nowhere in the middle of nowhere at the perfect times with no explanation and bizarre crazy stuff happens with no explanation. how does the parents not notice the dog is shot and bleeding all over, how does the Mom notice Clancy's neck, how and why did the bully get raised, Clancy was just at that spot on the road when Edward got knocked off the bike? Really? Give me a break. And than everytime bizarre stuff happens. There is also no main character in this and it is soooo unfocused. We think it's Furlong, than the fat kid which is alright I guess, than it's kind of no one, than back to edward and than I honestlydon't even know. Sometimes it's about his Mom, than Zowie the Dog, than Clancy Brown, and other weird stuff. The other big problem here is this is basically an excuse to go back to the Pet Semetary again and see bizarre gory stuff happen. We've seen all this suff happen already before. So there is no suspense in the slightest and no new ideas are explored. Same suff, different characters, and just nothing better. No one is likeable really in this and Edward Furlong isn't good. He acts so emo it's annoying actually. It's not all bad I guess, the music is dated and doesn't fit but I like that 90's sound on it's own, some nice shots in the start, and it does make sense but it's completely ridiculous. Clancy Brown is....I don't know when he comes back. Skip This. A Complete Terrible Mess that just gets worse and worse as it goes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review Jeepers C Let's get this out of the way. Pet Semetery was better cause it was the first movie. The script was fresh. Although watching Pet Semetary was enjoyable for me, it was the same in alot of ways. The story has animals and people being brought back from the dead and causing mayhem in the small town. Even though we seen this same movie before, I still enjoyed the movie and different characters it presented. It's like watching return of the living dead 2, no where as good as return of the dead , but still entertaining none the less. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/13/24 Full Review Alec B The original may have been a failed adaptation but it at least preserves some of the elements that made the novel unique. This sequel turns King's concept into a predictable slasher. The director seems to have dealt with this inevitability by sticking in as many sick jokes as possible and while none of them are all that funny, I do kind of get it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Howard H One dimensional acting from main character and mirrors his debut acting role in many ways. School bullies and young animals leads to uncomfortable watching at times. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Amanda W idk how to describe it but in any category i could think of it's awful, do not watch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/23 Full Review Patricia E love stephen king, this was alright. not bad Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
