Audience Member Richly textured and funny, Rouch was ahead of his time in many ways and this Ethno-fiction film is both very much in the same vein as Godard's work at the time, and similar to (of all things) Borat in its subversive approach. The last 3rd of this improvised film gets away from the collaborators and is a bit slow, but other than that this is a brilliant film that desperately needs to be remastered. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
