Alex C Average revenge film, 'piggys' great acting carried the film for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/24 Full Review Martina S Brilliant acting had me right the first minute in. So good glad they got all the coward a holes Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/27/22 Full Review Audience Member Far better movie than the critics claim. Their problem may be that Piggy doesn't fit their expectations that the story was going to fit a predictable revenge narrative. Piggy confounds the viewer who assumes this is a simple gore and rage flick. And those reviewers who seem to be confused as to whether the character of Piggy as really Joe's alter ego or a real person, please just pay attention to the movie itself. Don't try to be clever. This isn't Fight Club, nor does it subject us to some equivalent of that awful parking garage scene with the protagonist flopping around from an imaginary beating. Piggy is real, and a unique cinematic iteration of genuinely psychopathic behavior. It cheapens both the character and the movie to infer otherwise. The fight between Joe and Piggy demonstrates that Piggy is all too real, even for Joe. This is a provocative narrative whose gore is more implied than manifest, challenging the viewer to deal with his or her own dark inferences of what is taking place just off screen. It challenges the a viewer's willingness to root for the vengeful wronged and veers from the usual plot line that carries the protagonist to righteous anger and revenge. This movie makes it hard to cheer for the 'good guy,' even while, intellectually, one is sympathetic to him. It's a conflict the movie refuses to resolve easily. Turn to this film without expecting the obvious and you'll be challenged and rewarded. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Didn't connect with this at all. Poor character development, weak narration, and ultimately a feeble story. Most definitely trying to be something it isn't… there are many movies of a similar ilk doing it MUCH better Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Like revenge-movies , but the stranger Piggy liked to take a little bit to much revenge while he even don't know the Brother of the man who he is helping , And the real Murderer is in jail for drugs , so Piggy can't kill him ....now the man of the Brother goes to jail to take revenge ... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic story about a man seeking revenge against those that killed his brother. Piggy is tense, and wonderful. The characters are amazing, and tragic. The relationships are deep and three dimensional, and very real. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Henry Barnes Guardian It's a British rite-of-passage crime thriller, because it opens with a closeup of the protagonist's face and a voiceover that says "That's me". Rated: 2/5 May 3, 2012 Full Review Amon Warmann Little White Lies Too dull, too often. Rated: 2/5 May 3, 2012 Full Review Cath Clarke Time Out A dime-a-dozen, not entirely terrible London thriller. Rated: 2/5 May 3, 2012 Full Review Cleaver Patterson CineVue A tartly original thriller and possible new direction for an oft-stale and passé genre. Rated: 4/5 Jan 8, 2019 Full Review Jeremy Heilman MovieMartyr.com It's a shame that so much talent and energy is placed in the service of a story that feels like it has been told far too many times before. Rated: 41/100 Jun 11, 2012 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) Capable but monotonous, it ends with a predictable twist that has a distinguished literary lineage.
