When Aparna Rajawat was a young girl, she was beaten by her brothers for flying kites because they believed it was a boys game. She cut her hair and passed as a boy so she could take karate lessons to defend herself. She realized that boys were treated like kings and girls were treated like servants. She went on to become India's national champion in martial arts and started Pink Belt Mission to teach girls self-defense and self-determination. She attempts to break the Guinness World Record for most women trained in a self-defense lesson to bring attention to her cause.
