See more Brian D May 19 While I thought Jon Heder and Jamie Lee were great in this, the supporting cast stole the show for me. First we get Kate Flannery who plays Meredith Palmer from the Office. She's as funny in this as she is in The Office. Next up is Tom Berenger. I was shocked when I saw Tom Berenger as I mainly know him from action movies. He plays a pompous dad in this, to perfection. So funny without trying to be. I hope he does more comedy roles. Then we get to see the iconic Shannon Elizabeth. She was really only in a couple scenes but she still has it, even 25 years after American Pie. Lastly, and I didn't even notice this until I looked at the credits, this movie has a role played by Vernon Davis, the football player. Vernon was hilarious. I went to look up the actor to see what else he's done, then realized it was Vernon Davis who now seems to have a budding career as a movie star. At first, I doubted its legitimacy, given my small channel, but seeing names like Jamie Lee and Jon Heder confirmed it was the real deal. Plan B starts as a light-hearted indie comedy but reveals itself as a surprisingly heartwarming journey. The plot is simple: after a night with her awkward neighbor Evan (Heder), rebellious Piper Brennan (Jamie Lee) finds herself pregnant. Realizing Evan isn’t her ideal partner, she tries finding someone more suited, only to question her choices when she meets Cameron, a seemingly perfect match. While Plan B isn’t an award contender, its talented cast and direction by Brandon Tamburri make it memorable. Jamie Lee’s performance is the heart of the film, bringing humor and emotional depth, while Heder and Subhah Agarwal as Maya, Piper’s friend, add solid support. Fun appearances by Tom Berenger, Shannon Elizabeth, and a hilarious cameo by Vernon Davis round out the cast. Despite its modest budget, Plan B is a hidden gem with genuine humor and a heartfelt message.
