Dusty is an enjoyable main character, but he never quite reaches the timeless status of legendary animated heroes. This sequel benefits from a stronger premise, shifting from racing to firefighting, which gives the story more heart, higher stakes, and a clearer emotional journey. The supporting characters are colorful and energetic, adding charm and variety to the world, while the environments feel more alive and visually engaging. However, the screenplay occasionally feels rushed, and some emotional moments don’t land as powerfully as they should.
