Critics Consensus

Alternative energy is a business and not a sustainable solution, but beyond that, offers partial information that's unlikely to motivate change.

Bilge Ebiri Spirituality & Health The film's broad-based approach can be uneven. Gibbs isn't nearly as compelling a figure as some of the activists he interviews and portrays... Robert B Yes, you will learn that the green agenda is everything but. Power plants have to keep running while wind turbines and solar panels are generating power and the energy involved in creating the green alternatives mean that overall, more fossil fuel is burned to run the green alternatives. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Audience Member A must watch. This was for me, as important as Earthlings. A heart breaking truth. The Unbelievable but very real rampant corruption with "green" energy and politicians. A real eye-opener. Burning biomass = Forrest destruction, my mind was blown. Replacing 1 coal plant with 10 tree burning plants and calling it "green energy" Had no idea whatsoever, glad this was made! Too sad it came out during the pandemic and was missed by many. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/11/24 Full Review Leaburn O As with all Michael Moore productions you can't take things verbatim. There is a lot of sketchy logic and cherry picked stats but the central tenet that green energy isn't always as green as it's advertised deserves scrutiny and the film opens the debate. The film almost tacitly places green energy as being as bad as coal though, which is odd. Watched on YouTube. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/23 Full Review Paul K You need to see this. If you are sensitive, do not watch the last 8 minutes. I cried over it for an hour. It still upsets me. The truth is out there, just not with big industry. This message resonates now and for the next crucial decades. We are being massively hoodwinked. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Jay B Boycott this movie! This movie is filled with misinformation, deliberately misleading and inflamitory. Watch "Planet of the humans debunked" on you tube before making any conclusions. Shame on you Michael Moore and Jeff Gibbs for making money from this travisty Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/11/23 Full Review Jon H Very well made, thought provoking docu-movie. There were a couple of omissions from consideration but overall, excellent and very brave documentary. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
