Craig Mathieson Sydney Morning Herald Their group dynamic needs to figure out how to better distinguish their personas, but they’re also generous in sharing the screen. The funniest role they’ve written here goes to Meg Stalter as a deluded park ranger. Rated: 3/5 Dec 1, 2023 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News There are some laugh-out-loud moments you won’t be able to resist, but it just gets sloppy in the end Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 27, 2023 Full Review Charles Bramesco The Daily Beast With their uneven feature vehicle Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, the three decamp to small-town North Carolina as doofuses far outside showbiz, though “Ben,” “Martin,” and “John” remain suspended in a state of arrested adolescence. Nov 20, 2023 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots A one-note comedy that’s sloppily written, poorly acted, and lacks any semblance of an inspired comedic spark. Dec 30, 2023 Full Review Justine Elias The Arts Desk As is typical for an SNL-spawned movie, Treasure meanders. Unusually though, the ratio of jokes to running time remains favorable, even if some of the surprise cameos fail to amaze. Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2023 Full Review Jon Mendelsohn CBR Unfortunately, Please Don't Destroy's first feature-length film offers a painfully predictable story and fails to elicit almost any laughs. Cade H. This comedy is filled to the brim with a wide array of hilarious jokes, from zany one line zingers to clever callbacks later in the movie. The plot is enjoyable and engaging enough to where the jokes in the movie aren’t forced to carry the entire film, making the comedic dialogue between characters feel less forced. The storyline does have lulls throughout the film, making the pacing of the film seem choppy and slow at points. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/29/25 Full Review Koen H It was pretty fun , with some interesting lines and decent acting.. Peculiar storyline though.. They could have done more with this.. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Scarlet B The storyline of this movie, though predictable is hilarious and comforting. This movie really captures the spirit of SNL and its lighthearted approach towards comedy. This film is definitely targeted towards young adults. I think anyone can appreciate the silliness that’s in this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Tyler W Conan O'Brien's performance is both the best thing about this film and a simultaneous testament to the fact that Conan should stick to television. Overall, this movie has heart and a silly, light-hearted vibe, but it is cheapened by unnecessary vulgarities that undermine its whimsical feel. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/06/25 Full Review Lourdes L This movie is full of hilarious jokes and add a decently entertaining story and it's a great watch that's just as funny with every watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/03/25 Full Review Torin F FOGGY MOUNTAIN is a decent first film excursion for Please Don't Destroy, using a formulaic adventure plot filled with the group's expected quirkiness. It's dumb and goofy in an entertaining way, more chuckles than laugh-out-loud funny, with a solid supporting cast. The trio doesn't step out of their standard character roles (playing versions of themselves as a group of nerdy buddies) and they'll really need to for future films to succeed. That said, this film makes good use of its material to set up and deliver an amusing climatic ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review Read all reviews
