Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) A grim cautionary tale. Rated: 2/5 Jun 6, 2014 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian Mostly academic: the work of a directorial new kid stammering over her own best ideas. Audience Member reminded me a bit of Battle Royale though more nuanced and intelligently written Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This reminds me of the Bollywood film, 3 Idiots. This is rather sad though with no happy ending to expect. I've seen competitive students hate their own friends due to scholastic rankings, but not to the point of murdering a competition. Those limited top university offers doesn't always encourage excellence. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member another korean underrated film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Extreme extra-curricular activities with a dark premise, although given the propensity of students to turn on each other in real life this may not be too far off the mark. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A bloodcurdling juvenile crime-thriller in which students are happy to cheat, rape and kill for grades. Wringing nerve-shredding suspense from a flawed but brilliantly composed script, helmer-scribe Shin Su-won raises the sadism bar among South Korean films on school bullying, decrying and indicting the country's harsh, class-biased education system with images of exam hell that will resonate with young audience members across all of Asia. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member boring... really boring Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
