What to Know

Critics Consensus

Critics say that the third Pokemon movie has a better plot than its two predecessors. This is not enough, however, to recommend it to those not already fans of the franchise.

So-so, violent movie for series fans only. Go to Full Review

As ever, accompanying grown-ups should either take a good book or, better still, avoid the film completely by bribing another adult to go along instead. Go to Full Review

The lengthy battles here become tiresome in a film that says Pokmons live to battle but also know when to quit. Go to Full Review

Milo G Jan 10 Felt like the plot was easy to guess. There's little to no story given on the connection between Entei and Unown. Good scenery and love that Ash's mom gets a larger part in this movie See more John K @WQCMI Dec 27 Better than the 2nd one, but not a good movie. The story, on paper, does sound like an interesting idea, but the execution was very poor as its a generic story about magic and kidnapping. I do like the movie return of Brock as Ash's companion and the movie debut of Wobbuffet, but the real catch also came in the form of these CGI Pokémon called "Unown" which looks like they belong from a cutscene of a PS1 game.
