Nathan J. @NathanDirector Mar 3 Rated: 6.7/10 ⭐️ I expected a standard Darkrai sequel, but the distorted Reverse World's ambitious scale really caught me off guard. The Director’s Eye: Yuyama’s Norwegian glaciers contrast beautifully against the toxic Reverse World. Framing these European landscapes gave me fantastic visual inspiration. Through a faith-based lens, the film champions stewardship and the sanctity of life. The villain plays God to sacrifice Giratina, countered by Shaymin's wholesome message about gratitude and family. Hearing classic Godzilla roars from Giratina also adds massive cinematic weight! The Cuts: Shaymin is super arrogant early on; the complaining really dragged for me. Plus, the clunky early-2000s CGI ship sticks out like a sore thumb against the gorgeous 2D backgrounds. Verdict: An ambitious adventure with a great moral core. A solid, wholesome family watch. Favorite Line: “I want to express my gratitude.” See more Nick S @NickSpecter 12/09/2023 It was alright, few interesting pokemon to see but not enough to grab my attention more than having it play in the background. Plus, Shaymin is one of the most annoying Pokemon ever and, frankly, quite an asshole. See more 07/02/2014 This movie was soo good I had to watch it over and over again See more Read all reviews
