Karen Han Polygon Chan is the heart and brain of the Police Story films, and the lengths he goes to in order to impress and entertain extend beyond what we see on screen. Dec 28, 2018 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle This second Ka-Kui adventure rests comfortably in-between the others, overflowing with Chan's patented stuntwork and comic high jinks, and as such, it's a fine introduction to the Jackie Chan phenomenon. Rated: 3/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand ... more technically accomplished than the first film and even more mature, and he ups the ante with bigger set pieces, including a series of big explosions. Oct 28, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins A poorly balanced, overlong picture that is neither outrageously funny in its levity nor incredibly awe-inspiring in its action sequences. Rated: 4/10 Sep 6, 2020 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Film Vault Evidently, the extreme focus on action takes a toll to the narrative, although I found this aspect beneficial to a point, since this tactic does not allow much space for the illogicalities that formed a large part of the first's story. Nov 30, 2019 Full Review Nathanael Hood The Retro Set The film's paralytic self-seriousness fails to mesh with its outlandish characters and scenarios. twitchy b A solid continuation. If you like the first Police Story, you really can't go wrong here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Jelisije J An absolute waste of a sequel where the film has two separate main plots and goes back and forth like kids pulling rope to grab the audiences attention. Disappointed to say the least. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review noah g even better than the first one imo, good movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review Alec B The action scenes remain brilliant (The extended fight sequence in the playground is jaw dropping), although there are seemingly less of them in a movie that is almost 30 minutes longer than its predecessor. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Yash B I think "Police Story 2" features a lot of the action and mayhem the first movie had. A big part of that is Jackie Chan's efforts in these movies and the incredible stuntwork, parkour, and action set pieces. I just feel like this movie drops off in quality when it comes to the story. I think as an action-comedy blend, I can see what they were going for with it, I just think the first movie is more rewatchable and entertaining. Overall, I think fans of the first movie should still watch this one, but I do think while it matches the first in action-packed moments, it is also not as good of a storyline. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/07/23 Full Review Michael L My favorite movie of Jackie Chan and also one of my favorite Actors in all time.
