Audience Member A reckless cop learns to be one of the best drivers on the police force, thanks to the tutelage of his chief - a former member of the Flying Squad. A wonderful music score by Stelvio Cipriani, great stunt work by Remy Julienne, and a decent performance by Maurizio Merli make this one of the better poliziotteschi films. He is still a cop but not the type we usualy see him as . He's still Macho but different I don't want to give it away. Highly entertaining. Maurizio Merli, in his Fonzie wardrobe, plays an arrogant sonofabitch who aspires to be a class A driver in the police force. When a ruthless gang of bank thieves test him, he has to, y'know, get to be a better driver. What does this film have to offer? Merli being an asshole badass. Insane car chases with amazing vehicular stunts. An absolutely, undeniably kickass soundtrack. What else do you need? My favorite moment is near the end when Merli skids to a halt outside the junkyard, turns his car, and smashes some poor bastard trying to run away. This moment is perfectly handled, and although I think I know how they did it, I still squirmed when I saw what appeared to be a human being getting rubbed into the aspault by Merli's grinning bastard of a character. **** and 1/2 * out've ***** Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
