Audience Member Watched this ages ago. A very engrossing and competant drama. Think you can still watch it on 4od if you're in the uk. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautifully portrayed question: what is mental illness? Excellent screenplay based on what I am sure is an equally impressive novel. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member guess it the problems of psychiatric care are pretty much the same in Western countries. at least could see a lot of the same issues in Finland. the over-drugging, the rehibilation that is like child's play, downsizing sending people home w/ meds who aren't ready to leave... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Television Film Channel4, April 2008 Quick Review In a surprisingly perceptive drama about life at a North London Day Care unit Anna Maxwell-Martin (in a BAFTA winning performance) offers an insightful and honest deconstruction of true psychological welfare. Naomie Harris is the titular woman who arrives insisting she "ain't a nutter", and therefore fits in perfectly, while Martin is the lonely and reclusive patient N. Initially assigned as a helper N gradually becomes obsessed with Poppy and the effect she has on her mentality. Her markedly astute character changes keep you thinking and second-guessing right to the downbeat climax. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Good, but the plot makes little sense. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Hard to understand the accent at first but really great indie flick. Interesting concept.
