G B What is the point of coming up with such an interesting concept and then just completely ignoring it? Just a mix of hospital gore, zombie gore and other gore thrown in for good measure. It seemed horribly cliche to me. A mysterious something appears on Earth and draws people to it, while a select few can fight it. Meanwhile, the chosen always try to force the members of the select few to follow. It didn't appear they connected the stories except for the portals themselves. It was a confusing mess, with three different endings. You couldn't tell if whatever "it" was in the portals was good or bad as in one story they returned the main character's lost baby while in others there was eye-gouging and face-melting, ending with a portent of doom. I only watched it all the way because there were so many unanswered questions. I was disappointed. They could have done so much with the concept and instead they used a plot so stupid it makes you question what was real or not and not in a good way. Felt like I just lost one hour of my life for nothing. Glad I didn't watch this in a cinema. The best thing about the movie was the main actor that helped keep you interested.
