There are a handful of longueurs in the movie, but mostly this is a director and a lead actor working together without restrictions. Go to Full Review

Pedro A @RT36496169 2h This movie was a complete disappointment. The pacing dragged, the story felt unfocused, and the characters never developed into anything meaningful. By the end, it truly felt like a waste of time rather than an engaging experience. I feel the need to say something so other people don’t go through the same frustration — your time is better spent on something else. See more ManBearBull T @RT21851984 Apr 2 This is one of the most horrible abominations I’ve ever seen. The plot never develops into anything sensible, there are no deep metaphors or hidden meanings behind the utter mess of scenes pieced together in no particular order. At no point do I feel anything for any of the characters beyond absolute confusion at why James mcavoy would ever lend his talent to such a disgraceful display of cinema. There’s no depth, no development, no plot… It’s just horrible film making using a veneer of "art" to try to excuse the lack of anything that resembles good story telling. See more Omar A @RT20189623 Mar 12 In this lean, improvised thriller, James McAvoy delivers a hypnotic performance as a reclusive artist whose weekend retreat spirals into a tense game of paranoia. The film’s greatest strength is its raw, unpredictable energy, using a single location to create an atmosphere of suffocating dread. If you enjoyed McAvoy in Speak No Evil or Split, Pose is a must-watch. It’s a stylish, experimental thriller that proves you don't need a massive budget to create massive amounts of dread.
