Jason K @OkJason 21h Pretentious, self-indulgent, pointless. It only gets worse as you wait for something to happen that will justify the time you've been wasting. I can't imagine how insufferable the director must be describing his "vision". If you know someone who likes this movie, stop talking to them. See more Andrei D Dec 18 The first third is very stupidly build, it gains some momentum and delivers some nice interactions after that, and ruins its potential with a rushed and pretty dumb ending See more Corey M. @Realz Dec 13 1sr review ever: POS See more Jerod S @jeroduptown Dec 13 You gotta hang with Pose - because it's slog of broken story lines leading up to the final scenes. McAvoy keeps you wondering but unfortunately, the ending isn't incredibly satisfying. See more Georgia B @GeorgiaB Dec 12 I watched it because let's face it James McAvoy is powerful on screen. Aisling accompanies again and is currently appearing in a number of excellent dramas. It wasn't mind blowing. Very arty. Felt like it missed something. Beautiful as an art piece but I wouldn't say OMG you must see Pose to anyone if I'm honest. Didn't feel like a Thriller. See more J B @Starship7201u Dec 12 I disagree with the other reviewers. BUT I knew going in, this movie is an arthouse type film. Pop singer (Patricia) goes to the country manor of photographer Thomas Alexander (McAvoy) with her photographer BF (Peter) & agent (?) Dolly to for a picture for her album cover. They're supposed to be alone & aren't. Thomas wants to photograph Patricia & he & Dolly hatch a plan. The Thomas character is a vehicle for James to emote. He gets angry, He cries (beautifully), he's cynical, he's manipulative, he's narcissistic, he's self-absorbed, he's sexy. 1.09.41-Appears to be...I won't say an orgy. But group sex. Probably. Its very tastefully shot. Nothing SUPER explicit. Thomas kisses the Patricia character but then she's out of the frame & its him, Jemmina, 2 girls & 1 guy. Towards the end of this scene its James lying on the floor (?) with various hands rubbing up and down his chest, teasing his nipples. The End of the movie is a surprise I won't ruin. .
