Catherine Drake Little White Lies It's worth it for Harris Dickinson and you won't have seen anything like it. Rated: 3/5 Nov 23, 2018 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Here is a diverting, self-conscious fantasy sketch of gay life and gay sensibility composed of what the film-maker imagines or remembers of bygone Soho's lost bohemianism. Rated: 3/5 Nov 22, 2018 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Despite a skillful use of color, lighting, framing and music, the movie's artificiality might have played in a short film but becomes tedious and pretentious when stretched to 90 minutes. Nov 22, 2018 Full Review Ben Turner The Pink Lens There is a slick coolness to its unabashed insistence in being only symbolic of the city it namechecks in its title. Rated: 4/5 Sep 1, 2021 Full Review CJ Sheu The News Lens International McLean has a keen eye for the visual and the plastic, but on the evidence ... he's somewhat lacking with regard to the narrative and performance arts. Jun 27, 2020 Full Review Frank J. Avella Edge Media Network {Director} McLeon liberally and unabashedly borrows from filmmakers like Derek Jarman, Rainer Werner Fassbinder (Genet's Querelle, especially) and Stanley Kubrick (A Clockwork Orange, in particular) Rated: B Apr 26, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Didn't understand this movie at all, too arty (I hate arty!) Harris Dickinson is as beautiful as ever though. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Attempted to do more than it was capable of. These guys passing off 'intelligent sex' wasn't as insightful as they had wanted. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Caravaggio would be proud of - in fact, I think if he were reincarnated into this lifetime he would BE the protagonist! Who, by the way, is played superbly. Truly he is both within and outside of the art. His character, being adored for his beauty, is authentically tortured because of it. The art history references are both dead-serious and light-hearted at times. And the story moves just like any great work of art: light, dark, contrast, highlight, a touch of color - masterpiece.
