While experiencing a debilitating bout of insomnia, the Prince of Homburg (Andrea Di Stefano) falls prey to a prank by the Elector of Brandenburg (Toni Bertorelli). In his sleepless stupor, the prince fails to hear orders to avoid fighting with Swedish forces -- and so proceeds to ride into battle and defeat them. Audience Member sceneggiatura pessima, banale e ridondante...ricca di luoghi comuni. Il protagonista a volte improvvisa parole e frasi ascoltate forse durante gli stacchi pubblicitari di qualche prodotto per gatti, e la sua interpretazione manca un po' di spessore. Per non parlare della scenografia, una volgare ricostruzione in cartapesta (che introspettivamente richiama metaphoricamente l'interpretazione di Di Stefano). ABOMINIO P.S. finale pessimo con tanto di 'Viva il Principe di Homburg' pronunciata a mo' di 'libiam nei lieti calici'...povero Verdi, si sara' rivoltato nella tomba...
