Too bad the film isn’t as successful otherwise in combining disparate parts into a whole. Go to Full Review

The first hour is really very good, with solid, nuance-infused lead performances driving an increasingly tense, slow-burn build-up...Once we get to the money reel, however, you can feel the film straining for, yet failing, to nail the Big Moment needed. Go to Full Review

Steph G @RT02957517 8h Addiction is a very interesting concept to build a film on which could have allowed this film, if it was done right, to have sizable impact and importance. However, it was not done right. This film was extremely slow paced without a satisfying reason for it's pacing or a fulfilling climax to make the pacing worth it. It still left quite a few unanswered questions upon it's conclusion, leaving audience members with a dissatisfied feeling. It had an abundance of wasted film space that could have been used to push the narrative along in a more meaningful and entertaining (it is a movie after all) way. The dialogue was sparse and mostly unproductive to the plot. Highly disappointing and highly unlikely to have any level of re-watchability. It seemed as though the films creators were expecting the audience to read their minds and just be satisfied because they tried their best. See more Read all reviews
