Audience Member This is the second half of the show, where Homura's part of the story gets revealed. The story starts tangling up before finally getting to its finish. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Combined with the first one this duology consists of a 4 hour film that synthesizes the plot of thre TV series and cuts out the fat, making it into an ever more powerful experience. So while some people may be disappointed that it isn't very different from the series in my opinion it does what it should since it only improves it without detracting elements that would make the series weaker. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Beginning with a wish and ending in a curse... The Earth is inhabited by strange demons that cause humans to do bad things. The humans are protected by witches, of sorts, that become witches by trading their souls for one wish. One day the last remaining witch and a human that is on the fence about becoming a witch is left the chance to kill the last of the demons and end the need for witches; however, things take a drastic turn no one could foresee. "You're the only magical girl left." Three directors collaborate to deliver this anime gem. The animation style and storyline is very good. There are some cheesy cliché anime scenes in this, but the quality of the action and animation is first rate and definitely worth viewing. "Are you trying to become a God?" "I don't care what I become." I came across this trilogy on Netflix and had to add it to the wish list. I have thoroughly enjoyed these films. Some scenes come across a little over dramatic with some cliché comedic content filtered in, but the overall premise and direction is entertaining. I recommend this to fans of the genre. "Just make a contract with me and become a magical girl." Grade: B- Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: The Eternal Story continues on immediately from where Part 1 left off and finishes the tale of Sayaka, Homura, Madoka and Kyoko(with Kyubey the Bunncat along for the ride) and as with part 1, there isn't much to say other than this was an amazing movie, with the slight amount of visuals from the series interspersed with the new. What I did like was the slight expansion of Homura's story, the real focus of this film series is to expand Homura's Character more, to see how she thinks, because while we got a glimpse of that in the series, it was never fully explained. And this movie can definitely be said to be Homura's. With stellar writing and voice acting on show with the brilliantly scaled up visuals of Madoka to cinema Anime quality, this is-again a very welcome addition to the Madoka family, leaving Rebellion to continue the story afterwards. Yeah, Rebellion. Be Prepared when you watch that. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
