Mario Tarradell Dallas Morning News There are, however, three strokes of genius. Bronson Pinchot, Michael McKean and Cheech Marin as the angels light up the screen. Their celestial banter is a joyful hoot to watch. Rated: 3/5 Oct 15, 2010 Full Review Brandy McDonnell The Oklahoman For all its myriad faults, Pure Country 2 has Elam to carry it. Rated: 2/4 Oct 11, 2016 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a shockingly bottom-of-the-barrel endeavor... Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 19, 2011 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Warmhearted. Unfortunately, it's also softheaded...The music in 'Pure Country 2' is quite listenable, but the plot that surrounds the songs is utter hokum. Rated: C- Oct 17, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Ray D I'm a fan of the Pure Country movies and this is no exception, the music is great, the story is wonderful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review Stacy P This movie had nothing to do with the first movie which I would've expected. I would have liked to see it take a more sequential direction. It starts off strong and then it's a bit all over the place. Bobby goes to Nashville and finds instant success which is a little hard to believe. Along her journey she makes a few mistakes and quickly finds herself in a bad place. I think Ella was a strong character and Bobbie does have raw talent with her voice. I liked the Christian messages that were being delivered throughout the movie. It was a little confusing at times and too many things going on at once but overall I think this was possibly a breakout role for Bobbie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Good movie shows how snakes in Nashville music business uses people promising stardom selling their souls to the devil Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed it. While Katrina Elam (lead female role) did perform all of the songs in the film, it looked as though she was miming them (which of course she was because they were mixed then re-played) so I didn't enjoy that part of it. In saying that, it is what it is....a normal every day country music movie and really wasn't anything wrong with it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the worst movie but the music in the movie is a five star rating. I would give it four stars if the angels weren't in the movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The wife and I liked it but if you are against a movie with a moral back story, a terrific singer and movie you can enjoy with the kids then SAW is probably more up your alley anyway...
