Raúl Castillo plays against type and makes for a menacing, unstoppable presence in a genre homage that’s yell-at-the-scream enjoyable and seduces with its terrific cinematography from Daniel Katz. Go to Full Review

Armed with a much bigger location and stylish cinematography, Charbonier and Powell’s latest makes for a more mature effort that delivers (pun intended) in a massive way when it comes to nail-biting tension and intense thrills. Go to Full Review

David Charbonier & Justin Powell’s latest film Push is a perfect example of the latter; a picture that might not bring anything groundbreaking to the home invasion subgenre, but stands as a solid entry into its canon. Go to Full Review

A nearly silent film, in terms of dialogue, is nearly impossible to experience as a blind person without audio description. I shudder to think how long this push will continue. Go to Full Review

...a new Home Invasion Thriller with a pregnant protagonist. A very pregnant protagonist. Also, it plays out a few decades ago, which means no cellphones. It’s tense and intense in all the right ways, but also feels familiar. Go to Full Review

Although not without some faults, Push is another solid genre film from Charbonier and Powell. Go to Full Review

Darren D @DarrenJD Oct 23 This felt as if the directors David Charbonier & Justin Powell were trying to recapture the quality they brought to "The Boy Behind the Door", yet the result is just another home invasion horror. While the opening can be seen as slow, it does a decent job of showing off the scope of the location & the direction soon brought a sense of uneasiness from its near faceless antagonist, unfortunately it soon becomes a tensionless slog with childish attempts of overplaying the creepiness. Natalie's pregnancy has no impact on the horror, even when her water broke, even when the child is born, the tale of survival is lifeless. The out of place final 20+ minutes change the setting & are nothing more than schlocky. Alicia Sanz's performance saved it from being worse than borderline fine. Raúl Castillo has the presence of an intimidating villain, but the story just ends up treating him as the 1980s escaped inmate from a mental asylum. Mas o seu melhor,Então no protagonismo de Alicia Sanz See more Caio F Aug 25 A film with a lazy script, generic scenarios and a completely unrelated plot. The protagonist goes through situations that berate ridicule. It's amazing how the producers had the courage to spend money to make this film. See more Adam B Aug 21 Oh man, I really loved Push until the third act. Breaking it down, the first and second act of the movie was absolutely tremendous. Genuinely was contimplating giving it five stars. One of the most suspenseful and unsettling stalker/slasher movies I have ever seen. But man, once the chase restarts in the new location, it really sinks completely. It loses almost a whole star from that alone. But if you shut it off like, 20 minutes early, you have a great film. Damn shame. See more Daniel M Aug 20 Dull, uneventful and most of all, not even remotely scary or thrilling. But I only made it to an hour. See more Brody R. @Brody2525 Aug 8 Push was a frustrating mess. The first 30 minutes are painfully boring and aimless. The final act brings a little tension and fun, but it’s too little, too late. Even with a few decent moments, this is still a bad film through and through. See more Read all reviews
