Sara Stewart New York Post Moving and dynamically shot... Rated: 3/4 May 24, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Q Ball delivers a stirring and moving portrait of a program that provides inmates an opportunity to channel... energy in non-violent fashion. May 24, 2019 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times "Q Ball" feels superficial, its positivity somewhat forced. May 23, 2019 Full Review Scott Hines Decider The storytelling in Q Ball is deft, weaving the person narratives of the players and coaches with highlights as their season progresses. Mar 23, 2020 Full Review Kathy Fennessy Seattle Film Blog Tolajian has made a worthy film about a worthy subject, but it wasn't quite as involving as I hoped... May 24, 2019 Full Review Timothy Kenney The Stranger (Seattle, WA) The basketball games, while as exciting as any March Madness match, are the least compelling part of the movie, which uses the sport more as a vehicle to explore the journey these inmates have been on since arriving at San Quentin. Audience Member Been done before but it's reasonably well pulled off. A focus on the redemptive inspiration of sport inside a tough prison. Nothing too extraordinary about the documentary however it is easy to watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Basketball galvanises this beautifully filmed, unexpected narrative with insightful perspectives and a daunting reality check that sees its subjects as humans first. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Great to see people getting through hard times with sports. It goes to show that its not just a game, its a community full of support. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Notevole, potente ma non pesante. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Phenomenal, gave a fresh insight into a part of prison that no one hears about. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I give it nine thumbs down. My lowest rating so far. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/24/19 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
