Audience Member I came to this movie knowing nothing about it (sometimes that's the best way) - The first few minutes - so so....then after 5 minutes i was hooked. I'm not going to give anything away in this review because this is a must see movie. The clever script and the wtf is going to happen next, make up for the lack of different locations (although we do get a lot of flashbacks which help us to understand what's happen, and also build up the main characters). 'Welcome to the quiet room' is just a very well made drama which has you feeling for Asuka, and hoping that she makes it. As a production it's very made for television with most of the scenes filmed in a few rooms. However, the dialoge is so original, strong and interesting that you become wrapped up in her world, and the scenery doesn't matter. I thought the character studies in this film were on a par with movies like 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest'......To some people this film will be too slow and irregular, but i found it fascinating....a very good film that can be watched when you need something different. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Liked the atmosphere of this movie. Took me several times of watching before starting to understand the story. Interesting over all. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a well made movie that slowly reveals the truth behind why Asuka is committed to a mental hospital. She seems to be the only normal one there, but it soon becomes clear that she has her own issues that she needs to face. Some of the supporting characters are a bit cliche, but overall a good movie with enough comedy to balance out its serious side. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It's like some bizarre world, it's funny, smart yet deals with difficult issues. It's darker than you think. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this. The subject is quite difficult, but the movie deals with it in a very clever way, revealing bit by bit how hard the truth is, never being too sad or dramatic (that would have been way too simple). There's plenty of funny and brilliant moments, but in the end it's a meaningful, touching movie which I found a real pleasure to watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Bizarre, funny, sometimes melancholic and touching and sometimes crazy comedy, but without even remotely falling down to dumb slapstick - full of different characters, moods and impressions, it's like a bunch of flowers. Loved it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
