Audience Member An average romantic road movie that is predictable and boring in places. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting premise, acted out by completely unbelievable cast. The main draw for me was Justin (Green Arrow) Hartley, but he has all of five inutes of screen time and even he looked like he knew this was beneath him. No pun intended. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member There was something about this movie that I loved, and something I hated. What I loved was the two main stars relationship with eachother... what I hated was the way they went about it. He is gay, she is straight, they both have boyfriends, but they both have an affair with eachother. Also, the acting from Amber Benson was horrible. Other than that, it was a fun movie, I guess I could say. Not much to it... the ending was good, but didn't really solve anything. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Amber Benson (Tara dans la série Buffy) est excellente dans ce film bourré d'humour et d'émotion Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member There's something we don’t see in movies often - a bisexual male character and a heterosexual female character. Nathan and Maggie are more than friends, but both their boyfriends are unaware of this. “Some people might consider that a little slutty...” Maggie’s friend tells her. "Race You to the Bottom" is very B-grade, and has some pretty cringe-worthy accent. The dialogue's decent I guess. You get the sense that the only woman Nathan’s really attracted to is her. And even then, he describes that attraction as "profound affection". He’s in denial about the fact that he leans more towards guys than girls. He doesn’t like how guys treat him.“Nathan’s one of those70-30 gays” – Maggie says. The movie basically involves Nathan and Maggie taking a road trip. Something their boyfriends think is completely harmless, of course. Nathan and Maggie start arguing and being awful to each other very quickly. Nathan is scared of who he is. He uses Maggie, and won't admit that. Unfortunately, this movie is like a road trip to nowhere. Nothing much really happens, and with the semi-interesting premise they had, "Race You to the Bottom" could have been so much better. I'd probably watch it again though if I had the opportunity. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member surprisingly good, a slow start, rocky middle, and a natural ending. Lou Lumenick New York Post Rated: 2/4 Aug 22, 2007 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Although more than a little familiar in its road movie-style romantic banter and bickering, the film is easy to take for a number of reasons, including the witty and frequently caustic dialogue.
