Piper W Pure 70's fun flick. As a fan of TV's Dark Shadows, I originally watched this for Lara Parker, who played Angelique the witch on the show. This movie is screaming for a remake. Imagine how they can make that sacrificial coven out in the middle of nowhere look today! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review craig p I like this movie for the scenery alone but it's more than that if you like a conspiracy type story that appears everyone is involved in but you don't know for sure. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/23 Full Review Jason S I'm always loves this movie. I think Fonda and Oates work well together. The tension rolls along nicely until the chilling climax. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review david o I remember watching this movie 45 years ago as a kid. After seeing it was playing on FXM, I recorded it (commercial free). I liked it as a kid, and I enjoyed watching it again now. Come on people, remember that this is 1975! There are no special effects or CGI.. The suspense was good and the car chases were entertaining. It is worth seeing. 3.5 stars! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review j r Can't beat this classic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Keith Phipps AV Club Race With The Devil has problems getting over the flat, TV-style direction by Cleopatra Jones director Jack Starrett, but it gets by on engaging drive-in goofiness, even if it's tough to swallow the idea that mid-'70s Texas swarmed with Satanists. Rated: B+ Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Andrew Nickolds Time Out A wittily efficient quickie, the film is a winner all the way - a surprise, since Starrett's career thus far had been the movie director's equivalent of a criminal record. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Jerry Renshaw Austin Chronicle This is some dumb, thoroughly predictable, drive-in flotsam, but between the cast and the nonstop action, it's fun nonetheless. Oct 1, 2003 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ... There’s a few staples of 70’s cinema here, from distrust of authorities to a downbeat ending, but there’s also a sense of fun; if you mash up Deliverance, Easy Rider and The Exorcist, this is exactly what you get... Rated: 3/5 Jan 23, 2024 Full Review Ruth Batchelor Los Angeles Free Press All the wives are good for is crying and screaming and the husbands spend half their time comforting their wives, whose only brave deed is to go to a library and steal a book about witches. Nov 26, 2019 Full Review R.L. Shaffer IGN Movies While Race with the Devil is a bit slower, it's a haunting, unforgettable experience. Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
